My name is Leena Field and I live in Northamptonshire. I am married with two children and three grandchildren.
I have spent 22 years working on the frontline as an Assistant Social Worker and more recently working in a primary school as a Family Support Worker with my speciality being safeguarding.
This has given me a wide range of social work knowledge and these skills have helped people to make changes in their lives and to get the outcomes they need.
I started counselling and coaching people whilst working for frontline services. Realising that people were often struggling with thoughts and feelings that overwhelmed them.
My experience allows me to work in an open and honest way with clients. I appreciate that what people need is to understand how their thoughts were and are impacting the way they behaved, how they feel and their need to be listened too.
I offer new perspectives and techniques which you can use to free yourself from others points of view, past conditioning and trauma. The one tool that I use with all clients is to "stop judging yourself".
As a counsellor I provide immediate support and solutions on how to deal with different life events. I'm trained in Solution Focused Therapy (SFBT) and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). I can help you take control over these feelings using these strategies. These techniques capitalise on circuits in the brain that already exist.
Understanding thoughts and feelings and how this links to your behaviour is crucial to take control of your life and enable you to look at life with a different perspective. Some of the topics I cover are as follows:
